Niantic will soon release a larger Pokemon GO update

It is three years since the original layout of Pokemon GO’s map. Because Niantic hasn’t allowed an update to pass since then. OSM actually provides the update. Niantic made the announcement last night that an update was finally on its way.

You will notice the following changes as a result of this update:

• There are many ways
• Homes
• Parks
• Water

This change will also affect how Pokemon spawn. You now have an advantage if your city is populated, but Niantic would like to eliminate that. While there will be more Pokemon being spawned, it may not mean that they are distributed as well in urban areas. It may be the opposite. They will become more common in outlying regions. We’ll have to wait until the real change happens before we can feel happy, but it does sound good.
