Niantic Support has confirmed that there won’t be a paid part of the Pokemon GO Tour Hoenn.

An announcement was made earlier in the week that tickets to the Special Research of the Pokemon GO Tour Hoenn event can be purchased for five dollars. The rest of the event, which is the actual event itself, has not been announced. However Niantic Support says that it will be available for free to everyone.

Although Niantic Support may have said some things in the past that were not true, all indications are pointing to this being true. With a caveat we want to share it. This is bad news, as an increase in shiny probabilities seems to be decreasing.
