Niantic confirms price changes on other platforms in addition to iOS.

Prior to our earlier announcement, it was unclear whether Niantic would also go forward with the price rise for iOS Pokémon GO users. It is evident that this will take place in the interim. But it’s not just that:

This update is due to changes in App Store price tiers. We will also make similar changes on other mobile platforms. 

As you can see, Niantic is raising prices similarly for Android and Samsung. According to what we know, this is done to maintain fair pricing because it is not required from these other sites. We’ll inform you as soon as we learn what the new costs are.
