Mega Gyarados Raid Day has been scheduled for October 8 by Niantic.

Despite being one of the Pokémon from whence the majority of Mega Energy comes, it still receives a Raid Day. The Mega Gyarados Raid Day, which takes place on October 8, features Mega Gyarados as the star. Last night, Niantic made all the specifics available:

• On October 8 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Mega Gyarados Raid Day will take place.
• Mega Gyarados prefers to conduct raids at night.
• During the event, you will receive five free raid passes.
• You are more likely to encounter Shiny Gyarado.

Having a raid day is the second time a Mega Pokémon has done so. At Kangaskhan, it was a huge success the previous time.
